The Stanley Cup was at the Capital a few weeks ago, I think. I wish I would have gone and seen it, but I didn't know it was there till the day after it happened.

Well those of us who have the misfortune of living in Minnesota, Wisconson, North and South Dakota plus Michigan are not from the "east" but do know what hockey is.

I don't often watch hockey but when I do I am saddened because it seems so much safer than the hockey I wish I was seeing

If I am watching a hockey game I want to see at least one fight per game

Regarding Rob Blake: Total douche!

Nobody even really knows why management brought him back to the team in '06. He left the team in '01 under very bad terms which lead to Blake getting booed LOUDLY every time he touched the puck when the Av's would visit Staples. Five seasons after the trade went down and the boo's were still just as loud. We hated him that much!
When he came back to the team, he claimed that he was a King for the rest of his career and that he wanted to rebuild and be a mentor to all the young talent coming up. This past trade deadline would have been the perfect opportunity to rent out Blake to a team on the bubble, get some prospects in return, and then re-sign him in the off season. However, he decided to be a douche and not waive his NTC. At that point we all knew he was gone int he offseason.

He'll be useful on a contender (SJ), but he's not a leader so he was useless on the Kings anyways. Although the patented giant ass check every couple games was somewhat entertaining.
