I was disappointed in the Vera fight.

Vera really looked timid.

Well it seemed like he didn't know how to do anything but counter punch.

Andy is a ground specialist, so i would have thought Vera would have focused more on striking.

yeap. that Counter punch by Silva was nasty.

You could tell irwin was done right after that punch. all he did was cover up and wait.

The Affliction card was amazing as well, if any of you saw that. Granted, it wasn't free, but I'll pay top dollar any time Fedor is fighting. That guy is just insane.

There is no doubt that Anderson Silva and Fedor are the top two pound for pound fighters in the world. Great night for MMA.

GSP/Silva is a dream fight, but GSP would have to move up in weight to make that happen. Silva already cuts 40 lbs to make 185 and there's no way he could go down any more.

Silva's height/reach would be too much for GSP to handle, I think. His Muay-Thai skills are off the chain and nobody in their right mind will stand with him. It would become a rasslin/jitz match.

It is more likely that GSP/BJ Penn will happen. I'd love to see that fight again. This time w/out thumb pokes to the eye.

GSP's bread and butter is out-wrestling wrestlers (Sherk, Hughes, Koscheck). His next title defense against Fitch, another stellar wrestler, will end the same way.

GSP had a real hard time with BJ Penn, who is a good striker with awesome takedown defense. However, GSP clearly outworked Penn in that fight. This was before BJ took cardio seriously. A re-match now, with both of them at the top of their games will be SICK.
