| Hey guys, I don't know if some of you get this damn error, but I've been getting it more and more since launch. Found a thread on it for a fix that might help. - Quote :
In some systems Windows 7 & Windows Vista Multimedia Class Scheduler can cause latency issues and disconnects in different programs (including online games) with different systems. Multimedia Class Scheduler basically throttles your bandwidth... sometimes to the point of choking it. Doesn't seem to affect everyone, but a lot of people. If you want to try it you have to edit a registry. If you have it disabled it can cause issues too, that's why people use this fix to just disable the throttling instead of completely disabling it.
Open regedit: Start>Run and type regedit and hit enter
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile
With SystemProfile selected... in the right panel locate NetworkThrottlingIndex and right click it... Select Modify. Under Base Hexidecimal should be populated... Under Value Data enter FFFFFFFF. (Default value is 10 or a)
Reboot
If you want to reverse this just go to the same location and re-enter 10 into the value and reboot.
Just a suggestion to try it. | |
